New As I Lay Dying and Black Dahlia Murder Tracks

Have you heard the new As I Lay Dying and/or The Black Dahlia Murder tracks yet? They’re “exclusive” over at the Ozzfest 2005 site. Of course you probably DL’d these tracks months ago and will no doubt blast me for being so behind the time, but oh well. [Thanks, Ben]

Actually, I didn’t know about those. Thanks much! I’m very excited for the new BDM album!

And back I am. I am very satisfied and impressed with the new BDM song. The new drummer sounds phenomenal (as he was when I saw them the other day). The new vocals are a smidge different, but what can you expect with different production dynamics and a few years of development of the vocal chords? The two new songs they played, of which “A Vulgar Picture” was one, sounded faster, heavier and more brutal while retaining the melodic nature or BDM’s music. Wonderful!

As for the new As I Lay Dying song… they took this long writing this? Seriously. It sounds like a B-side from Frail Words Collapse. I really don’t like this band at all, but I know that they house musical talent. I guess I was expecting something new and good, but I’m not surprised at the lack of progression.

Yeah, the new AILD isn’t terribly impressive, but I still like it quite alot.

Yeah, it does sound like a B-side from “Frail Words Collapse” but it’s still good song.

New BDM is the same old boring stuff. Nice blast beats, but that’s about it. They just write one riff and play it for three minutes.

New as i lay dying…boring metalcore. Neither track is anything special.

Oh no! Repeating a riff is so not allowed in good music! Sorry… I forgot a bout that.

    You douche.

Writing riffs and repeating them… what else is there in life?

So i guess the new Meshuggah is absolute crap and i may as well not buy it… cuz i certainly don’t buy albums from bands who repeat anything.

So I guess rehashed At The Gates makes for good listening? Repetition is great if its interesting (Isis for example) but shitty metalcore riffs aren’t any more interesting because of blast beats. Black Dahlia Murder just sucks, sorry I don’t share your affection for them.

And Meshuggah is absolute crap, you shouldn’t buy their new album. Not because of repitition, it’s just boring.

Amber from Planar (Lujo Records) played the strings on the new Black Dahlia Murder record. Go buy the new Planar album “Goodbye Atmosphere, Goodbye Traffic” from lujorecords.com

    …bitches

LAWLZ! I remember when The Black Dahlia Murder ripped-off At the Gates! Especially all of those blast beats and low-end vocals! OMGHZ they are just total copycats!

Totally, those blast beats and lower vocals make them stand out from the pack. Nevermind the shitty guitar work. Ur sarcazm is awsum ROFL ROFL

    Shitty guitarwork?

    Haha.

What we have here, ladies and gentleman, is an élitist. A classic example wherein a strong opinion is expressed in manners often including mockery and a presiding sense of aloof attitude. But the truth is that the subject has an obvious lack of any sort of convincing knowledge in the area of question. Some of you may be fooled, but please don’t be! It’s nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Nice try, cock-sheath, but you don’t know anything. Better luck next time!
