Comics On iTunes

First audio, then tv and now Comic books are joining the list of whats available at iTunes. 12 Gauge Comics are putting up a few “Comicast” episodes of their issues for download. The comicast is “..something of a hybrid between a simple digital version of a comic, CrossGen’s Comics on the Web (in terms of voice acting), and where things are headed, in that it has its own navigation system, which steers readers through the content.” As far as I know they are free.

not to amazing, but i guess this is just a case of Apple bringing something thats not in the mainstream to the masses. just like podcasts a year ago.

I noticed a few weeks ago that my church’s Order of Worship was coming down to my computer through the subscription of the Podcast. It is the same idea as the digital booklets that you get with the albums that iTunes offers.

They download as PDF’s. So other’s are already doing this, the comic book guys just decided to post the comics as PDF’s with the Podcast.
