20 years after the original Live Aid, organizers are at it again. The purpose is to have a five city global concert to raise awareness of the growing poverty and AIDS epidemic in Africa. They hope to put pressure on world leaders to help try and find a solution when they meet for the G8 Summit in Britain. The shows will take place in Philadelphia, Paris, London, Berlin and Rome. The concerts are all free and will take place on July 2nd 2005. The Philadelphia show will be held on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The performers so far for the only US show are Elton John, Bon Jovi, Will Smith, Jay Z, Stevie Wonder and more will be announced shortly.

there’s rumor of a pink floyd reunion at live aid 2.
Forget the music, I’m glad people are actually doing something about the situation in Africa.
