Showbread Won’t Be On 2006 Warped
Kevin Lyman, organizer of Warped Tour weighs in on obsessive Showbread fans to MTV.Com.
“Fans would never see some of these bands on Warped because they want too much money and we would have to raise ticket prices,” he said. “It never gets old to have fans e-mailing me with suggestions … the only thing I don’t like is when bands get their fan clubs to keep e-mailing me the same name over and over again. This year a band called Showbread is taking it way too far.”

I saw several post from Showbread on myspace asking people to email Warped Tour. I wouldnt think that this was done just to annoy the warped tour staff. There had to be a reason.

like there are several bands promoting themselves through fans on ever ywya they can…..Senses Fail, Kids In The way, countless others pop up on every myspace I go to, things like Warped tour have to face the fact that with an internet comunity like today, so many bands are going to be known, and they are all going to want them on warped tour….

So Kevin Lyman is REFUSING to book a band because their fans are writing him repeatedly to put Showbread on the tour? Unless he put out some kind of letter to the showbread camp asking that they tell fans to stop mailing him, WHO CARES how many times I email kevin lyman to put (insert band name here) on his tour? Its not like I am waiting outside his house in the morning with a giant sign that says SHOWBREAD and threatening him with his life. We are talking email here people. If it was really make his life that terrible, why didnt he just reply to these people with a message that just read “please do not request this band anymore, they are in consideration, we appreciate your message but you are overloading our email boxes, thanks.” Again I don’t know the whole story but refusing to book a band because their fans write you too often is maybe the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard… just another reason to not go to warped tour this summer i suppose.

maybe think of it as the band being actually really good, and then think about putting them on tour.
i mean, take a look at the band, their fans, and then decide. The reason he got so many emails, is cuz there are so many showbread fans. a reason to put them on the tour, not take them off.
this sounds really one sided, but i did email kevin whatshisface, and i asked him to put showbread on the tour.
but i wrote him a freaking letter, and i gave him reasons, and i emailed it to him ONCE.
so get over it kevin, its just fans appreciating the band.

Avenged Sevenfold? That hack job attempt at a super band? I’m sorry but Travis can’t carry Avenged Sevenfold, Box Car Racer, Blink 182, and The Aquabats by himself. I know that he is the best drummer in the known world however, even he is no substitute for Showbread. I am seriously ticked off at the shear stupidity of the warped guy. First of all, I know for a fact that SB is not as expensive as many of their bands, I am actually in the process of trying to book them for a show. More on that later. Anyway, If a band has a dedicated fan base, that means that they will sell tickets, so any good business man knows that selling tickets is a VERY good thing. I am outraged that the fans can speak and he can’t produce. He Sucks!
