Fear Before The Gossip Sites

Someone from Fear Before The March Of Flames is poo-pooing:

“people should be careful about what they say on the internet.especially what they say on music sites that they know the bands they are trashing read.whether youre the head of the website or a random sixteen year old music listener, the internet doesnt give you the power to cut people and/or the music they make down just because they cant reach through your sidekick and punch you for saying so.”

I love the band, but band gossip on the internet will never end. Besides, it helps sell records (and banner ads), so it’s win-win all the way around.

Tooth And Nail Sign Underoath, Again

An MTV News article says that Underoath re-signed to Tooth And Nail despite offers from major labels. Says the band:

“Major labels, I think, as a whole, don’t really get it a lot of times. They don’t understand how bands like us work. They understand how Madonna works and how 50 Cent can sell 8 million records. But they don’t get heavy bands. We don’t really agree with a lot of the business practices major labels employ sometimes. We weren’t feeling what they wanted us to do. But we got a lot of free dinners out of it. We told our manager to set up meetings with whoever asked, because we like free food. Free dinners are always a good thing.”

This is their first time ever doing an acoustic set. Note the lack of full drum-kit, the use of piano, and well… animal masks.

Alter Bridge Leaves Wind-Up

Alter Bridge, the only project that ex members of Creed are invovled with not marred in scandal, have parted ways with their label Wind-Up. Apparently the split was to distance themselves from those who still believe Creed will re-unite. Guitarist Mark Tremonti says..

“But with this termination, I think everyone will realize that Creed is officially in our past. Creed will never exist as a band again. We’ve moved on and we hope that everyone else can move on too.”
