I get quite a bit of music in the mail for review and for the most part what I receive is quite enjoyable. I’m easy to please and I don’t feel that everything has to be new and different to be called quality. However, I recently received a copy of Birds & Batteries 2005 release Nature Vs. The Polyphonic Spree will release an EP entitled Wait on September 5th via Good Records. The album conisists of covers of tracks originally performed by Nirvana, Psychedelic Furs and Spree member Tim DeLaughter’s former band Tripping Daisy.
Sufjan Stevens has penned a 1,500 word personal narrative for the latest issue Topic Magazine and appears on the cover. The article isn’t available on the web so you’ll have to pick up the actual magazine for this one.
