iTunes To Stop Selling NBC Shows

Apple has announced that it will no longer sell NBC television programs through iTunes.

“The move, the company explained, follows NBC’s decision to not renew its agreement with iTunes after Apple declined to pay more than double the wholesale price for each NBC TV episode, which would have resulted in the retail price to consumers increasing to $4.99 per episode from the current $1.99.”

Bad Brains Remembers Hilly Kristal

On the heels of CBGB founder Hilly Kristal’s death, Bad Brains talk about what he meant to them, and to music in general:

“The Brains didn’t go to college … CBGB’s was our university. Hilly was our head master. And although the music died back in the 50’s with Holly and Richie … the punk lives with Hilly, Joey, Stiv and CB’s. Forever is the spirit of Hilly and his punk rock. Thanks Hilly, we will all ways remember you as the don of punk and the king of the bowery … that serious looking nice guy….Jah lives… the Bad Brains.”
