Bob Dylan To Make ‘Rolling Stone’ Video

Bob Dylan is making a music video for his song Like A Rolling Stone, 42 years after it was recorded. And he wants your help. Fans are supposed to submit footage of themselves performing the song. The cream of the crop will get edited together with the original music.

A spokesman for Sony BMG said: “We want the video to show his diverse range of fans all singing, reciting, reading and performing in inventive, ‘out there’ styles and locations. It can be a complete rendition of the song or just a bit of it. Why not recite the lyrics up a tree, in front of the Eiffel Tower, mime it underwater, duet with your grandparents.”

Insert Green Eggs and Ham comments here.

i like “Blood On The Tracks”, but most of his stuff from the 1960s is good as well. “Love & Theft” and “Modern Times” are worth checkin’ out too.

I think I may dislike Dylan more than Cash.

How can you dislike Dylan AND Cash? You’re supposed to pretend to like them to sound pretentious.

Because on this site, it’s not cool to like musicians. You only sound cool if you hate them.

Really, in that case, I hate Radiohead. I also hate Pink Floyd. Throw Led Zeppelin in there, too. And the Beatles. I hate the Beatles.

Ok, I only really hate two and a half of those bands. Can anyone guess which were lies and which were true?

I really like Bringing it all back home. Also, the live 1966 Bootleg is AMAZING. Other than that, I agree w/ Blood on the Tracks. I’m a pretty big Dylan fan and the album that hooked me for good is that bootleg. Bootleg Series #4 Live 1966. Get it. Liner notes are great too.

    Dylan is the best…

Anything he released from ‘63-’70 is pretty essential along with Blood on the Tracks.

    My Top 3:

    Blood on the Tracks
    Highway 61
    Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan
