Demon Hunter Is Understandable

Christianity Today gives 4.5/5 stars to Demon Hunter’s Storm the Gates of Hell.

Unlike most other bands in the genre, you can actually understand Clark’s singing/screaming without need of a lyric sheet (most of the time).

Why would someone think the name “Demon Hunter” would make for an awesome band name? It sounds like a crappy horror movie with low-resolution jpg artwork that eventually ends up in a 50 cent bin at a movie store.

I don’t know Joe, I haven’t seen them change that much. Listen to the s/t and then Storm the Gates and you can tell it’s the same band.

Is it just me or does anyone else think it’s a bit to early for Demon Hunter to form their own fan club?

One good thing I see is that it’s a lifetime membership instead of the usual pay per year.

I was actually a mod on Demon Hunter’s forums when they did the whole Blessed Resistance crap. I was pretty pissed.

I think it’s kind of cultish really, maybe that doubles as a money-making scheme.

It’s just a fan club. You know, for a band to promote themselves. Some bands are into that, strangely.

I doubt they get much direct monetary profit from it with all the stuff you get from it.
