Minus Story – My Iron Truss
Minus Story’s My Iron Truss (Jagjaguwar) is an excellent album that’s sure to delight most indie rock fans. The Lawrence Kansas natives cite Brian Eno, Pearl Jam, Queen and Roxy Music as influences. While most of those are veiled on My Iron Truss, the album’s tracklist reveals faint but clear traces of each of them. Eno’s less abstract work (see 1975’s Another Green World) seems to have been one of the more profound influences in writing the record. Lush vocals, interesting songwriting and top notch production make this one a winner.
