Visually and conceptually, the cover for Antony & The Johnsons’ forthcoming The Crying Light links directly to album art (and title track) for the recent Another World EP … Both feature the Butoh dancer Kazuo Ohno, this one a 1977 photo by Naoya Ikegami.
And then’s there’s a quote by Antony about how Ohno is his “art parent.” I really tried to understand what he was getting at, but the grade-school punk in me just kind of inwardly giggled.
