Underoath - Lost in the Sound of Separation
Artist: Jordan Butcher
Release date: Sept 2, 2008

This is one of those highly-anticipated releases that have a zillion different versions (and may have a zillion more upon the re-release), so it’s hard to pinpoint the “standard” design. I’m disappointed in this: no scene chicks with smeared eyeshadow, no randomized explosions or conflagrated city skylines, no illegible band logo, no “thoughtful” photography, no skinny dude with Photoshopped angel wings and severed demon heads in tow. How am I supposed to know this some sort of screamo band?
Frankly, I’m all about it. How’s the music?
Love this. Reminiscent in some strange way of those old C.S. Lewis sci-fi novel covers.
I more or less like it, but I’m not SUPER crazy about it. I really like the fact that it comes off more as a fine art piece/work than a gimmicky album cover.
In the bottom center I see a girl with long hair and a flowing dress reaching out with a crab claw.
I really liked the artwork from Define the great Line this new artwork is ok though.
Crustacean is so emo this year.
love this work…the guy who did it is a stellar fella as well…one of my favorite layouts in a while for sure…
