Def Leppard Frontman Thinks Dio Sucks

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott and Ronnie James Dio look to be starting a feud for the ages. Elliott comments:

The only time that I will say something negative about a band is when I’m just being pissy, because they say something negative about me. If Ronnie James Dio — as he did — said on that YouTube piece when somebody mentioned Vivian [Campbell, Def Leppard guitarist], “I hope he fuckin’ dies!” I would just say, “Ronnie James Dio, go fuck yourself!” So if somebody says, “Def Leppard suck!”, then I’ll just back the ball like in tennis and say, “No, you suck, man!“, but generally speaking, I don’t have these problems.

It’s funny cause they’re has-beens.

I failed to remember that he had a solo career, probably because I attempted to listen to the Dio-era Sabbath box set that just came out and started crying in the corner. It’s kind of hard to remember much good about Dio right after that.

Dio can take comfort in knowing that no one will be having these discussions in the future about today’s whackassed “rock stars.” Dio’s receding hairline could whip the tail of any white-belt wearing Trump Cut with little or no effort. Maybe Joe Elliott isn’t totally ridiculous after all.
