Featured Band: Auxes

You might remember Dave Laney from Milemarker and Challenger. Now he’s back with Auxes, a project that is primarily his brainchild (with some help from members of Fin Fang Foom, Bellafea, Eagle Bravo and Sleepytime Trio).
I love it when non-hardcore bands can pull off vocals with an obvious old-school hardcore aesthetic, and Laney makes that work well. If that’s also your thing, then you’re in luck — the band’s debut album, Sunshine, will be out in October on Lovitt.

wouldn’t it be awesome if the actual fin fang foom (the dragon from the fantastic 4) helped write/record this album?

I’m really working hard to make a Fin Fang Foom > Old school HC joke. Something about being the original singer in Path of Resistance, or maybe the he was the guy that introduced the guys from Shelter to Krishna. Just can’t quite get it together.
Oh well.

For some old school HC reference, Eddie Sanchez (not in Auxes) from Fin Fang Foom is related to someone in Murphy’s Law if I’m not mistaken
