Featured Band: Torche

Hailing from Miami, Fla., Torche is a “thunder rock” band whose songs are full of pump-your-fists anthems, thundering beats, and plenty of hooks to go around.

   I went to see them with Harvey Milk. I have to work early in the mornings. I left after Harvey Milk played because it was late. I also didn’t go see them when they came a couple of weeks later because it was still a week night. I’m a bad Torche fan. To make up for it, I bought a bunch of their vinyl. The new album absolutely rules though.

   Been hearing hype on this band since their formation practically. However, I never gave in and gave them a listen… until the release of this new CD. I’m bummed I never listened to them until now. They are the shiiiiiiiiiiiit. It’s so heavy and the singing is so poppy, I love it.
