Hello there! My name is Jacob Merritt, and I’m a member of the band Pomegranates. We are an art pop (whatever that means) type band based in Cincinnati. I have the privilege of occupying a few moments of your attention throughout the day today. I don’t really have any agenda, other than sharing some nice music and maybe something that makes you chuckle.
There is a possibility we might be coming to your town in a couple weeks. We would love to hang with some Buzzgrinder peeps, so check out our tour dates either at our MySpace or Lujo Records.
Oh, the only self-promotion I care to do is mention that we were a part of Daytrotter Radio Wednesday night, which airs on a select number of NPR affiliates. You can listen here if you like, or visit Daytrotter for more information.
Daytrotter is one of our favorite things, run be some of our favorite people. They have a really refreshing thing going. Daytrotter invites bands into FutureAppleTree studio at their office in Rock Island, Ill., where the band performs four songs — occasionally alternate versions or unreleased tracks. One of the fellows writes a nice little piece about the band, and someone else does a neat painting or drawing. Check it out!
