When we post about a band getting ripped off, it’s usually some young bunch of kids who are too broke to afford insurance or too dumb to lock their doors. But now? All bets are off. If even The Stooges — with centuries of tour experience — can’t seem to hold on to gear, what hope do the kids have these days? From the AP:
“Stooges road manager Eric Fischer says the 15-foot truck stolen Monday contained all the group’s instruments and stage gear. He tells the Detroit Free Press the lost items are worth tens of thousands of dollars.”
Kids: Gas costs too much, and you’ll probably get your gear stolen. Stay home and start a music blog.

Looks like the only thing they didn’t steal is Iggy’s one shirt.
Can’t I be in a touring band and run a music blog?
I guess when they steal the whole damn truck, there’s nothing you can do about that. If people want to steal your shit, they’re going to get it.
That being said, I’m still going to rip apart the next emo/hardcore band for getting their stuff stolen.
Dylan - you could, yes. Just don’t spill any PBR on your laptop.
