I’ll Be There: Ra Ra Riot, So Many Dynamos, Princeton in Louisville
Sometimes I feel like Ra Ra Riot is a guilty pleasure. Other times, I wonder why everyone doesn’t love them (only almost everyone loves them). I’m not sure why I vascillate between the two positions so much, but what I do know is I’m going to see the band with So Many Dynamos and Princeton tomorrow night at The 930 Listening Room.
I’m not too familiar with So Many Dynamos, and I had no idea who they were until I heard the song Search Party on MySpace. Then it clicked. Not sure where I’ve heard the song, but I’ve definitely heard it a lot. Princeton, on the other hand, I have no idea about.

I caught this show here last week.
So Many Dynamos are one of my favorite bands right now and are the reason I went.
Since Ra Ra Riot is from Syracuse I’d heard of them but never really listened. I was definitely impressed, although the encore songs they played were probably the worst of the set.
Princeton surprised me. It started off rough but those nerds definitely got the crowd moving. They sound a lot like Vampire Weekend in some songs so I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of them in the near future.
