If Creed Reunites, Blame Led Zeppelin

Rumors have been circulating for weeks about who will take Robert Plant’s place on the Led Zeppelin reunion tour should he not accept the invitation. Steven Tyler’s name has been mentioned. So has Chris Cornell’s. But the most recent name floating out there is Myles Kennedy, lead singer of the band Alter Bridge. If this happens, there may be dire consequences.

There may be one unintended side effect should Kennedy bolt Alter Bridge, which has released an album each for Wind-Up and Universal. That band features the non-singing members of Creed, who split with frontman Scott Stapp in 2004. But sources indicate there would be big bucks in a Creed reunion tour and that the band may indeed rise again.

This reminds me of that time Marty McFly and his family started disappearing from that picture because he stuck his nose in something that wasn’t his business — i.e. the past.

For god sakes, if Robert Plant decides not to tour, then you might as well just call it the “The Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones covering Led Zeppelin Tunes” Reunion Tour. Led Zeppelin was always a mouthful anyway.

    Fantastic analogy.

I don’t think there’s any chance of this thing happening without Robert Plant. If they tried, I think they’d find a lot of empty arenas.

Didn’t John Paul Jones say he wanted a female singer?

Seriously, whatever it takes to avoid a Creed reunion. 2000 is eight years ago for a reason.

Led Zeppelin touring, people will pack those places out…. but the different lead singer would get booed I am sure.

I would love to see Creed back together for a reunion. They put on some of the best concerts I have ever seen (7 times).

LOLZ at the last 2 comments.

Sorry, but a Zep reunion tour w/out Plant is retarded. I mean, Plant and Page did that tour together and that couldn’t be called a Zep reunion tour. What makes Jonsey and Page think they can get away w/ it w/out Plant?

If all three of them did tour though, I’d sell my left nut to see it.

Although all I’d really have to do is just buy a ticket.
