Madden ’09 Soundtrack Includes Underoath Premiere
Gamedaily recently interviewed Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of music and marketing of Electronic Arts, about the Madden 2009 soundtrack. It seems the game has become even more important in the world of music. One easy way to quantify that is the number of songs making their debut in the game. Schnur talks a bit about it:
This is also our biggest number of debut tracks ever in a Madden soundtrack. Franz Ferdinand, Gym Class Heroes, All-American Rejects, Underoath, Trivium, Senses Fail, Hollywood Undead, K’Naan, and Young Dre/Good Charlotte are all debuts. It’s the first time you’ll hear these songs anywhere. In fact, the track from All-American Rejects is so new that we’re using a demo version that the band begged us to use rather than be left out of the game.
I’m looking forward to playing the game, even though the offensive ratings for the Patriots are skewed way too high. When you get blown up and humiliated in the Super Bowl the way they did, you can’t have four O-linemen ranked in the high 90s.

i know this is way old…but…i just got madden 09 this month when i finally bought an xbox and one song sounded so much like underoath that i had to make sure…so i googled it and the ole bg showed up with the proof, so thanks…
but…
i dont think a late 4th quarter touchdown by the giants means that the 18-1 pats got “Blown Up” and “Humiliated”. they were a great, great team that lost one close game, just picked the wrong time to do it.
