Man Man Discusses Scams

Ryan Kattner of the band Man Man, on people disliking his band:

“I love these extreme reactions. I love that people hate this band. I love how people think we just bang on shit. That’d be easier. That’d be a good scam!”

So are they scamming us? Instead of asserting some sort of informed editorial opinion, we’ll let you decide.

Other ingenious scams might include:

Swinging your guitar around your neck to make up for poor technical ability
Canceling tours because your throat hurts when you really just want to stay home and play Rock Band
Perpetuating years of rumors about break-ups and member changes to sell albums
Making up a fake person and suing them in hopes of selling more albums (NOTE: didn’t work)
