Morning Buzz: Flaming Lips, Mission of Burma, Tom Jones

:: It looks like U2’s Bono and Tom Jones are friends. I thought the Irish hated the Welsh. But given this revelation, it seems that they just hate good music.

:: Turns out that the Billboard charts don’t reflect what people listen to while online. What a shock! I never would have guessed.

:: Over at Rawkblog, Dave has a review of Christmas on Mars. You know, that Flaming Lips movie. He describes Wayne Coyne’s character as an “interstellar Joe the Plumber.”

:: According to Matador, you can get three Mission of Burma songs on Rock Band 2. When will you be able to get some Pavement or Yo La Tengo, then?

:: Top 10 lists are starting to pour in. Kip from Rock Sellout talks about Rough Trade’s top 10 of the year.

The Irish hate the English and whoever else hates the English, except for the French, because we all hate the French.
