This bible verse is commonly used out of context. The important part is the “for the dead.”
In those days, it was common to for people to cut/tattoo themselves, for a recently deceased loved one, to false gods as a sacrifice to ensuring their loved ones a place in heaven. This verse is dealing with the issue of worshiping false gods not tattoos.

I don’t dislike any band just because of tattoo’s. Its not relevant to the music whatsoever. If i hated bands with tattoos then i wouldn’t like TDWP. -
