:: Josh Farro says the new Paramore album has “some really, really mellow songs that you’d never expect to hear out of our band.” Meaning fans will hate it, and they’ll return to their roots on the next album.
:: Sunn O)) is kind of touring.
:: Loyd Grossman rocks out.
:: See You Next Tuesday has finished recording and is heading to Europe.
:: Pitchfork.tv will now be on TV since they partnered with IFC.
:: A bunch of photos from Warped Tour Milwaukee.
That’s a mammoth tour for Sun 0)).
As an unashamed Paramore fan, mellowing out doesn’t seem like a great idea for them.
Jay, I also love Paramore.
And you’re right. I wouldn’t say the slower songs of Riot are the weakest but the first half of the album is definitely the best.
I really like Paramore also, but I would disagree. I really like a few of their “slower” songs. By the way, I’ll be seeing them in a few weeks at the MN State Fair. I’m pretty stoked.
Ha ha ha
Isn’t that the case with any band that tries to do something different? Or is that just me? Anyone?
And I’ll admit I like some of Paramore’s stuff, but hell, I get SO annoyed with all the over exposure. They’re not THAT great.
Chris, Franklin was a great song. The ones on the new album didn’t appeal to me, but they weren’t terrible. Eh?
Frankin is a really good song. I do like “We Are Broken” a lot for lyrical content and for some reason that I can’t pinpoint “When It Rains” reminds me of Jason Gleason era Further Seems Forever.
I forget what songs those are exactly because my brains rapes song titles.
I will investigate these for further evidence and come to a conclusion.
IM A NICE PERSON!
Chris, I like We Are Broken vocally but the music does nothing for me. IMO, Paramore is at their best doing stuff like “For a Pessimist…” and “crushcrushcrush.”
See You Next Tuesday is better than Paramore. : )
