Morning Buzz: Pharrell Williams, MGMT, Noel Gallagher
:: The Gummy Award winners have been announced. Fleet Foxes won most inoffensively mediocre best album. And Kevin Barnes (Of Montreal) was voted the number one male indie rock crush. If he won, I can’t imagine the majority of voters were women. At least not at birth.
:: When I skimmed the headline “Pharrell Williams invests in ‘bionic’ yarn,” I thought it said “bionic arm.” Sadly, those visions of Mr. N.E.R.D. as a cheap reincarnation of The Six Million Dollar Man were a bit premature.
:: I’ve found a friend in David Greenwald: “… I’d like to take this opportunity to blog, for the first time, on MGMT: They suck.”
:: Some big tour no one cared about (except fans of cell phones and tattoos, and maybe cell phone tattoos) won’t be happening.
:: Noel Gallagher got to meet Morrissey, then he blogged about it.
