Holy shit, that new Metallica song is unbelievable. In comparison to other things they’ve done for the past decade, it’s a step up. But the structuring of the song is so fucking amateur - it’s hard to believe that this is the biggest metal band ever (hey, i’m not saying they’re MY favorite). You think that they’d at least try and take cues from the good metal that’s happening today, and not sound like your uncle’s shitty garage band. they toured with Mastodon, dammit!
That new Metallica album SHOULD’VE gone in a Blind Guardian/Seventh Avenue power metal direction.
I just saw the Breathe Carolina guys, yesterday. I’m still trying to figure out that scene but I can tell you that they were some great dudes. And great with their fans.
