Mychildren Mybride Sort of Excommunicate Kyle Ray
Guitarist Kyle Ray is no longer in Mychildren Mybride.
“MCMB has made the decision that we would progress more as a Christian band without Kyle. His personal decision for a lack of faith never hindered the band because of our previous views on being a ‘Christian’ band.”
It seems that Mr. Ray is okay with the decision, the fan comments are somewhat civil and of course anonymous Lambgoat kiddies had lots to say:
- This is beyond gay. God didn’t say anything to you. Jesus wants you to party and have fun, not creep around stage claiming you know something everyone else doesn’t.
- holy fucking gay. please fucking all die.
- christian groupies take it in the ass

My opinion on this situation, in my opinion, doesn’t matter because I’m not in the band and I’m not going to presume God’s will for them.
However, Lambgoat never fails with the news comments.

Well, it all constantly gets out of hand. Say you want to be a heavily political band, and someone in the band cares nothing about politics. You can either have someone in the band wholly dedicated, or someone just there playing their instrument. People get kicked out of bands all the time for idealogical differences, it just has a bad ring to it when it’s related to Christianity because it seems like you’re saying that the person is bad or wrong or something like that.

Honest question: do these Christian bands really think that they’re all that effective? I mean, how many heathens become Jesus fans by going to a MCMB show?

matt- that’s hard to say unless we’re in the band, or at least close to them.
I can say from personal experience that things like that definitely do happen – but I want to say it mostly doesn’t have have to do directly with the music.

Your not supposed to say your personal opinion (for a good article written by someone mature)on the mater in such a way as that. -

and kyle is an awesome guy…he seems totally understanding of whats going on…hes gunna find a new band and will be A OK im sure…
you have to respect them for going out on a limb here to do what they believe is right…agree or not it is admirable…it seems like theyre handling everything appropriately so its hard to get too upset…if the band and kyle are cool with everything i dont know why anyone else should complain…

Yeah, cut him some slack. He’s a…cool dude…and all.
But yeah, on topic. I think it’s perfectly fine they did this. They’re wanting to be more of a ministry/Christian band, and if he doesn’t feel the same, I mean, no matter how cool of a guy he may be, it goes against the message they’re spreading. They didn’t kick him out because they hate him. It’d be the same thing if I was in an atheistic band and all of the sudden, they found out I was Christian? Or became one. People are just taking this the wrong way, and getting butthurt over nothing.
