Nevertheless Doesn’t Like Being Glazed-Over

Nevertheless Doesn't Like Being Glazed
“Just plain, thanks.”

Pop-rock band Nevertheless talks about the lyrics to their song Cross My Heart:

It’s like death to your art. So that song kind of came out of frustration that people were just trying to kill your art and make it just this “Christian radio friendly,” glazed-over, whatever.

Spicy!

When i saw them live everyone in the audience were throwing these small advertisement light wood air planes. Josh the vocalist was amused with it and threw them back every time when they were being thrown directly at his face. The planes completely took over and they were more the show then the performance was.

i have no absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for bands like this when they willingly sign into the christian market.

how dare their A&R group try to stifle art such as this:

FTA- “Longshot” is the funnest song on the record. It was in Franklin, TN, and AJ had this guitar part. And man, I just thought about all the times I was in youth group and there’s always that girl you want to talk to, y’know?

You don’t think they should expect more?

Yeah I had a moment of respect for them, but then I looked at their tour schedule. Acquire the Fire? What do you expect.

There is a difference in being a band and being a soundtrack to kids lives in youth groups in churches.

12 year old youth group girls secretly masturbate to posters of these asswipes, as they try to fall asleep at night. Then they cry… asking God to forgive them. Then they masturbate again.

^^^ Wow. That’s probably one of the dumbest comments I’ve ever seen on this site. Even if you’re “kidding.” Wow.

What’s dumber than my comment is Mr. David parting his hair to the side, posing for pics for the ‘ol MySpace, and listening to Haste the Day.

PS: I’m not ashamed of any of those things.

Why should I be? Haste the Day is a great band. My hair is how it is. I’m not doing it for anyone else but me. And I took a picture to amuse my friends. Sorry I’m not xbrutalx?

haha, i like these guys. They’re good people and their music gets better every time I see them. It may not be the best music ever but I appreciate them for being good dudes and getting better at what they do. The times I’ve talked to them I’ve also wondered why they keep doing these youth group type tours if they’re so tired of getting categorized, but its kind of tough when thats how you got where you were in the first place. If they wouldn’t have gone that route they’d still be playing shitty venues put on by 16 yr olds who don’t pay them their gaurantees (heh, the good ol days). But it doesn’t mean that once you find yourself in a place you don’t want to be you can’t complain about it. Its pretty obvoius they don’t want to seem like christian industry bashing people, they were actually kind of reluctant to put those songs on. But thats what its all about in the industry I guess, compromise. They said that too. I’m going to shutup now ha.
