New Releases: Becoming the Archetype, Kanye West, The Killers

A small but pretty sturdy release week. Can you call a week “sturdy?” Whatever. Black Friday is this week, so artists who don’t mind deep-discounting are all jumping on board.

The new Becoming the Archetype album is pretty legit, as is Kanye’s, even though I don’t remember hearing him rap at all. Austrian Death Machine has a Christmas single that’s sure to be great for any holiday cynic with a penchant for comedic metalcore. And the Demon Hunter DVD is pretty cool if you like them; a live DVD, a documentary DVD and a CD with its soundtrack, which is basically Demon Hunter trying and sort of succeeding at making instrumental metal.

Also, I wish I lived in Europe this week so I wouldn’t have to pay import prices for the Justice live CD/documentary DVD or Coldplay’s new EP.
