Another not-so-notable release week. I know it’s not that exciting when the two releases I’m looking forward to most are from a classical composer (Johann Johannsson) and a split EP with two artists I don’t own anything by (Thursday/Envy).
My guess is people don’t want to drop an album on an election day. Can’t blame them. It probably explains the huge release weeks we’ve had through the fall up until now, too.
I’ll also be checking out Black Moth Super Rainbow, Travis, Low and Shiny Toy Guns. Mehhhh.

Did I miss anything important? Post it in the comments.
That Danielson release has some pretty fun tracks that are previously unreleased. James Yorkston also never disappoints.
Noooothing I care about, except the Thurs/Envy split. Haven’t heard it yet, but neither band has been doing things I like lately.
And LOL @ Black President being released today.
Man, another dry week.
I’m very disappointed that there’s no CD only version of Thursday/Envy released in the U.S. I’ll either have to buy from AmazonMP3 or pay $20 for the Japanese version. Neither option sounds very good to me.
Why would you pay $20 for a Japanese version when you can spend less to get a CD and vinyl housed beautiful packaging. I got two different copies of it last week and the packaging blew me away.
That’s great and all, but a vinyl record is useless to me. I have no record player and do not intend to purchase one. I also don’t have a proper space to store the record and its “beautiful packaging” so I’d probably just have to toss it in a corner somewhere.
Corners can tend to be useful for storing stuff.
