Record Store Day Is Upon Us!

Before you buy your $5 cappuccino and/or $35 shirt this weekend, stop by your local record store and buy an album or three. It’s all part of Record Store Day. Some pointers:

5. Be sure to avoid Mr. Hipster Record Store Clerk.
4. Don’t listen to fuck your record store by Bludge previous to shopping. On second thought, do listen to it. It’s a free download.
3. Read Top Five Albums of 2008 (So Far) over at Pretentious Record Store Guy.
2. Avoid the “miserable old fuck” record store owner. He smells, I heard.
1. Read the fine print regarding returns, or else you’ll end up sounding like this.

That’s not really the point of Record Store Day. It’s about going out and supporting independent record shops.

I love going out used CD shopping, it’s fun, cheap, and you never know what you’ll find.
