I’m still utterly amazed that guys in a band as awful as Cobra Starship are also members of a band as not awful as This Is Ivy League. Go figure.

So while the Starship has been busy sucking it up and canceling its European tour, This Is Ivy Leauge has been busy adequately covering The Magnetic Fields. The cover version of You And Me And The Moon isn’t quite as catchy as The Richest Kids — and it isn’t quite as good as the original version of the song — but it’s still enjoyable.

I know Blake won’t like it as much as the original. But unlike me (an unbiased observer who just so happens to prefer the MF version), he collects Stephin Merritt’s toilet pubes. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I’m just too busy trying to get them from Robert Pollard. Everybody needs a hobby.
