‘Want More Plays’ Plays Dirty On MySpace

There’s a “company,” Want More Plays, who can inflate your MySpace plays for a fee. They recently hit up Sage Francis with hilarious results:

“Do you guys need help accumulating plays and views mainly…. anyways, if you would, let us know. we’re cheap compared to the rest of the guys who rip people off.

Alright, upfront, the more you buy, the cheaper it gets.
$25 for a thousand plays/views for one day only
$75 for a thousand plays/views per day for a week”

The entire discussion is a must-read. [link, Idolator]

If you pay me $200 I’ll tell you how awesome your bands haircuts and breakdowns are every day for 3 weeks.

I never considered that there would be a market for this! If I see a page with a huge showing for one song I just assume it’s their default. Sad

I remember the good ol’ days when bands would schlep to a site that would offer spam friend request codes. Now they’re doing it with actual plays…

For exactly $9, I will go to the home of the retarded chimp behind “PromoteYourMyspace” and cut off his testicles*. Or her brestiges. And tongue. And pointer fingers.

    $9. No questions asked.

The world really has not show a high demand for yet another STUPID-ASSED IDEA.

Dear “Promote”: I sincerely hope something bad happens to you. Soon.

*Ironically, I take this stance while fully endorsing “Promote” for whatever money “they” get from anyone dumb enough to fall for this bullshit.

    Good grief, we’re done for.
