A Grand Design: Flyleaf
Flyleaf – Memento Mori
Release date: November 10, 2009

These guys/girl are a guilty pleasure for me, but I’m throwing up a lot of internal barricades to keep from chuckling at the incomprehensible awkwardness of this. The concept of memento mori is a good launching pad for art, especially for band artwork. I just take one look at vocalist Lacey Mosley’s doctored, agonized presence and I’m compelled to dismiss everything else — even the accordion.

What’s there to feel guilty about?
Do you only like them because of Lacey’s striking features? -
