I had the vinyl version of the original release in my charge at the ol’ college radio station, and the design stuck with me to this day. The alternative/grunge trend was littering shelves with distressed Courier fonts and photos of screws or condemned buildings, and along comes this affront to white space expansionism: this minimalist, Cartesian sine wave — and unnecessary registered trademark-looking offense (which persisted in one form or another with their band name, on their releases). These King Georges across the pond sure were daft.
