Donora Makes Me Feel Even More Effeminate
I’ve listening to a good deal of female-fronte, less-than-tough bands lately. You may have noticed. And it’s taken a toll on my manhood, as the headline above implies. Well, now I’m adding Donora to that list. Catchy, quirky, even a hint of an attitude — but not at all masculine.
But in an effort to help balance out the twee and tough (and maybe lean a little toward the tough), I’ve paired Donora’s I Think I Like You with No Heroes from Converge. Let the testosterone flow.
Anyone else have this problem? Do you have to supplement your twee pop with some aggro-core? Examples?
