From the Buzzgrinder Vault: iPhone, Starflyer 59, Junior Varsity
Remember when Buzzgrinder was good? You know, before we jumped the shark? Yeah, we don’t either. But we are going to crack open our archives once a week anyway, to see what we were talking about around this date in the middle of the decade, now that it’s almost over and all.
:: The original, though unofficial, “iPhone” wasn’t exactly as successful as its successor.
:: Starflyer 59’s The Drop seven-inch was up for sale on eBay. It ended up going for $177.50. Anyone seen one up for sale lately?
:: The girlfriend of The Junior Varsity’s guitarist went missing. She was later found dead. I can’t find any news of what happened after that. Does anyone remember?
:: Yahoo Music raised its prices. That worked out well for them, right?
:: Armor for Sleep was getting ready to release a documentary on DVD. How was that?
:: Remember before Eighteen Visions went all fashioncore? Well, that was way before they started recording what ended up being their last album.
