HORSE The Band has wasted little time getting to work on a Vagrant debut. However, there’s no word on whether the dudes are wasting time getting arrested.

Working with Noah Shain in Los Angeles, the band is planning on a mid-summer release for what has been titled Desperate Living. In addition, HORSE has invited James Stewart of Xiu Xiu into the studio. Here’s what Stewart has to say about the process:

Horse the Band has asked me to try to help them make a dying robot, an exploding keyboard, a dream laugh and a melted, drastic flute of redemption. Lucky for you and for me they have the wit and creativity to turn these things into music.

After recording gets taken care of, it looks like there will be a slew of festival and club dates overseas — with some in Russia, even. In America, horse is band. In Russia, band eat horse. If you have a better one (which you probably do, since that was awful), I’d like to hear it.
