Hulk Hogan Wanted to Play Bass for Metallica, Rolling Stones
Hulk Hogan was a bassist for almost a decade before he was the Hulkster, so those pythons were getting a workout long before he was giving the running leg drop to the Honky Tonk Man (or at least his fingers were). And he apparently loved the bass enough to consider hanging up the tights so Hulkamania could run wild on the metal scene.
When Metallica was looking for a bass player, I called and never heard a word back from them … I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for Metallica.
It’s unclear which bassist search this was for — the one that eventually netted Cliff Burton, Jason Newsted or Robert Trujillo — but regardless of when it happened, it definitely wasn’t the only time the Real American tried to finagle his way into an iconic band:
I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger’s ex, and she told me the [Rolling Stones] were looking for a bass player,” Hogan said. “I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said ‘Tell Mick I’m a great bass player.’ I never heard a word back.

I think Hogan would have made a wonderful addition to Metallica, He was a great wrestler and has done some good things in movies, worked with kids, and even worked with some charitable foundations.
I would be a bigger metallica fan (if that was ever possible) if my favorite wrestler and man of all time had become their bassist

Is this a serious response? so with your reasoning, if you are a great wrestler, you would be qualified to be a bass player in the biggest metal band in the world?
This has got to be the biggest load of shit I’ve ever read. Thank you Chauntelle for contributing nothing but nonsense.
