James Hetfield Gets Hospitalized, Metallica Cancels Sweden Gig
Oh noes! James Hetfield was recently hospitalized because of some food poisoning in Sweden. And thanks to his habit (I’m assuming it’s a habit) of eating four-day-old filet mignon and drinking champagne out of Kirk’s sweaty boots, Metallica had to cancel its date in Stockholm at the last minute. Lars has the unenviable job of addressing 16,000 fans. Here’s what he had to say:
As you can clearly see, one of the members of Metallica isn’t with us up here on stage tonight. Unfortunately, I have to let you know that James has had a really, really bad day and he’s on his way to the hospital right now.
I wonder what a really, really, really bad day is, then. Amputation? Herp? Clap? Sneezing fit?
