Levon Helm ‘Tours’ — Inside New York State

When I saw “Levon Helm – 2009 Tour Dates,” I almost soiled myself with anticipation. Would Levon Helm be playing Cincinnati? Lexington? Indy? Nashville, even. Maybe, dare I say it, he’d be coming to Lou-uh-vull. Be still, my beating heart.
I examined the list of concerts. Then my smile quickly turned upside-down. I’m not sure you can call a half-dozen New York dates at two locations (and one in New Jersey — who cares about New Jersey anyway?!?!?) a tour. Deceptive headlines ruined my day, and it’s your fault Brooklynvegan.

One question. Who cares about Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire? No bands ever go there. Beat that.

I saw Brother’s Keeper and Diecast in VT, and Stavesacre in ME. And a bunch in NH because my band played this one club there all the time.

Gunstock is the only place bands play at in New Hampshire, and it’s actaully a ski resort in the winter.
