Monsters of Folk Cover Kiss in Full Attire
So I had a very tough choice to make for Halloween night. I could travel an hour to dear old Lexington and see Buzzgrinder doll babies The Seedy Seeds and our boys in Man Man, or I could fall asleep (i.e. go see Monsters of Folk here in Louisville).
I mean, the band does have Conor Oberst, after all. And Man Man is like Tom Waits if he listened to more Misfits and gargled a little less whisky. No contest, right?
Well, now I’m a little sad that I missed the Monsters show, since they went all out and donned full Kiss regalia to cover Detroit Rock City (which is one of the few Kiss songs I do enjoy). My guess is this stunt was the brainchild of Yim Yames, since he’s been known to have a good time.
