Morning Buzz: Iron Maiden, Cursive, Lady Gaga

:: Iron Maiden apparently has filed a lawsuit against a comic book creator for his Iron and the Maiden book. What, was someone else using ZZ and the Tops?

:: Cursive has some west coast dates in June.

:: In case you ever doubted her taste or credibility, Lady Gaga has compared the Beatles to the Jonas Brothers. That’ll show ‘em who knows their business.

:: Crustcake was recently charmed by Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.

:: The Antlers had a nice little sit-down with The Tripwire, where the band’s frontman chooses to be very vague about the story behind the album Hospice.

:: Random tracks that don’t suck:
Elliott – Drive on to Me
Rodeo Ruby Love – A Small House In The City
Rancid – Ruby Soho
Only Thunder – Splatterhouse

She has a point. The Jonas Brothers are like The Beatles in ‘63 or ‘64. Their fans are screaming young girls, they’re in movies, that sort of thing. If The Beatles had called it quits before Rubber Soul came out, they probably wouldn’t be remembered as anything other than a teenybopper band.
