Morning Buzz: Metallica, Band of Horses, Ticketmaster
:: A dude from Activision had something to say about the new Metallica edition of Guitar Hero. Probably that it sucks. But that’s just my guess.
:: Josh Fiedler and Chad Alan (formerly of The Juliana Theory, currently of Vesta) had a nice long talk with fans over at Absolute Punk yesterday. It’s just not as awesome without Brett Detar there, right? Nothing is as awesome without him. Or so I’m told.
:: Band of Horses is playing Carnegie Hall. Ooh la la.
:: Remember how we mentioned that ultra-weird supergroup Tinted Windows, featuring Taylor Hanson, Adam Schlesinger, James Iha and Bun E. Carlos? Well, Rolling Stone is streaming a song from the band. It sounds like Hanson right after their testicles dropped. But not long after.
:: The Senate’s first hearing on the possible merger between Live Nation and Ticketmaster is today. I would ask how you guys feel about it, but it’s not like someone will say “yeah, this is a great idea.” Now prove me wrong.
:: Random tracks that don’t suck:
Frank Lenz – Libertution
Colour Revolt – Mattresses Underwater

Does the way Ab. Punk lay out their interview bother anyone else?

I’m pretty into that Tinted Windows track. I’ll be picking up that release when it comes out.
