Morning Buzz: Pavement, Eugene Mirman, Blink 182, Billy Corgan, David Byrne
:: In addition to the U.S. reunion dates already on their plate, the Pavement dudes have announced some shows in Australia and New Zealand. However, they’ve also made it pretty clear that no new material will be played at any of the shows. However, no one said whether or not there is new material.
:: Sub Pop has a nice, long interview with comedian Eugene Mirman where he discusses his new album, among other things. Things like flatulence and kittens, I’m assuming. He is a comedian, after all.
:: I know you want to win some Where the Wild Things Are swag. And you don’t even have to write songs about cute animals and Star Wars legends to get it, either.
:: The New Moon soundtrack’s release date has been pushed up, no doubt because of the album leaking a few days back.
:: Sign of the apocalypse 5,198,470: A new Blink 182 album is happening. Sad trombone.
:: Billy Corgan and David Byrne will be talking Carl Jung together next month. Which two musicians would you like to see discuss a famous philospher/psychologist/scientist? And who would they be discussing? We want to know, honest.

I would like to see a new pavement album as well, but come on man…this just sounds like you’re building a rumor mill upstream

not trying to stir the pot, per-se. just very interested when i saw taht they never addressed that issue in the article, which i would think would be an obvious question to ask, especially with the subject matter in the first place.
