Morning Buzz: Radiohead, Protest the Hero, Muse, Noisettes

:: Turns out Glenn Beck is a big fan of Muse. Who knew? I’m also assuming Larry King is a big Kings of Leon fan, too.

:: Sign of the apocalypse number 2,519: Cobra Starship‘s new album is projected to move 40,000 units in its first week. Everybody in the bunker.

:: Nettwerk is looking for some rubes eager go-getters to work as interns. So if you live in New York and want to hobnob with the people who hobnob with musicians, get on it.

:: Revolver has a sneak peek of the Protest the Hero CD/DVD that’s set for a Sept. 15 release.

:: ABC Amplified had the Noisettes play on the rooftop of their headquarters. Maybe we should do the same thing at the Buzzgrinder offices.

:: The whole deal where Radiohead wrote the song in memory of the recently-deceased WWI veteran was a nice sentiment and all, but doesn’t this newest mystery track help cancel out that coolness?

:: Random tracks that don’t suck:
Belle and Sebastian – I Could Be Dreaming
Blood Brothers – Trash Flavored Trash
Jets to Brazil – Resistance Is Futile

IT’S a radiohead track (refering to the “mysterious track”). it’s pretty obvious in the drums and voice. but then again, i’m a self proclaimed addict.

i knew it was a radiohead track. the reason it’s a “mystery track” isn’t because it was anonymous. it’s because no one knows where it came from or why it exists.
