Morning Buzz: Snoop Dogg, Beatles, These Arms Are Snakes, FYF Fest
:: Snoop Dogg has a respec’able job now. Just like mine.
:: Sure, I’m more of a Rolling Stones fan for the rock and a Beach Boys fan for the studio magic — but I’m not entirely sure how it’s possible to rank Radiohead, Arcade Fire, …Trail of Dead or Animal Collective above even early Beatles music.
:: If you want to make fun of the Third Eye Blind guy to his (virtual) face (and who doesn’t), you can.
:: Spinner gave us the first digital taste of a track from These Arms Are Snakes that was previously only available on vinyl.
:: It’s nice to see that record stores are trying to be creative when it comes to their in-store displays.
:: Plenty of FYF photos are available at Stereogum, which raises the question: What has been your favorite festival so far this year?
:: Random tracks that don’t suck:
Drive Like Jehu – Human Interest
AA Bondy – When the Devil’s Loose
Make Believe – For Lauri Bird

hmmm, the only band i can see in that list being better than early beatles stuff is radiohead. then again, i don’t really care for the beatles all the much. i tried to play their damn rock band game in blockbuster and couldn’t because the guitar was broken, which was just fine by me.

pitchfork…what a gaggle of music snobs with really poor taste. maybe if the beatles had taken out some ad space they might have had a better score. then again, if the beatles had released a tape only version of them shitting on a cymbal and released it on drag city records then pitchfork may have been a bit more generous to them.
pitchfork, and their music review team are morons.
pitchfork…charlatans of SUCK.
