Morning Buzz: Snow Patrol, Chimaira, Look Mexico, Walkmen
:: Want to play soccer with Snow Patrol? Well, tough. Besides, if you read Buzzgrinder, you’re probably too lazy to step outside of your parents’ basement. You can, however, play video game soccer with the band. Right up your alley.
:: Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter recently chatted with Metal Sucks about the band’s new album, The Infection.
:: Comic book genius — and super weirdo — Alan Moore said that he was approached about doing a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen spinoff movie…League of Extraordinary Animals. I’m reminded of the Watchmen Babies joke from that one Simpsons episode. No real reason for putting this here. Just made me chuckle, then made me sad. Like a puppy taking a fall.
:: Look Mexico was featured by Gibson (you know, the guitar people) right below Willie Nelson and Neil Young in a story about eco-friendly musicians.
:: The Walkmen will be on the road with Kings of Leon during April and May. Is it bad to go to an arena to see the opener instead of the headliner?
:: If you can read backward, blurry text, then you can see some of the swag Gasoline Heart got when they signed their latest record deal a few months back. [Thanks, 1/3]
:: Random tracks that don’t suck:
Atom and His Package – Me and My Black Metal Friends
Les Savy Fav – Rage in the Plague Age
Andrew Bird – Oh No

Another thing, does it sound to anyone else that Atom comes off as a jacked up/more interesting Aaron Weiss?
