New Releases: MxPx, Biz Markie, The Bravery
As is inclined to happen, the folks who decide release dates have assumed once again that any time between Black Friday and mid-January is a bad time to release new music. Whether this is because people get wrapped up in Christmas tunes or because they don’t spend money on themselves around this time of year, I don’t know. (Both are lies, if you ask me.)
So the best we have to offer this week are a Christmas collection from MxPx, a greatest hits comp from Biz Markie, a new release from wannabe-Killers The Bravery, an untitled work by R. Kelly that he probably considers a masterpiece and the debut full-length from Allison Iraheta, the girl that should have won American Idol. Don’t ask why I know about such things. Just trust.
:: Allison Iraheta, Just Like You (Jive)
:: Biz Markie, Diabolical: The Biz’s Greatest Hits (Traffic)
:: The Bravery, Stir the Blood (Island)
:: Carcass, Pungent Excruciation: Live (IMV Blueline)
:: Daniel, Fred & Julie, Daniel, Fred & Julie (You’ve Changed)
:: Juvenile, Cocky and Confident (Atlantic)
:: Kent, Rod (Sony)
:: Manu Chao, Baionarena CD/DVD (Nacional)
:: MxPx, Punk Rawk Christmas digital LP/7″ EP (Rock City Recording Company)
:: Natural Elements, 1999: 10 Year Anniversary (Traffic)
:: R. Kelly, Untitled (Jive)
:: Souls Of Mischief, Montezuma’s Revenge (Clear Label)
:: Tristeza, Fate Unfolds (Better Looking)
:: X-Ray Spex, Live at the Roundhouse London (Future Noise)
Did I miss anything important? Post it in the comments.
