New Releases: Number Twelve Looks Like You, Cursive, New Found Glory

Lots of talk about Bishop Allen, Cursive, The Number Twelve Looks Like You and the new Punk Goes Pop collection. Hate to say it, but I’m not really looking forward to any of them much.

A few that might get overlooked:

Mirah’s new release is awesome. Portland’s repping pretty strong these days.

Bell Orchestre should be interesting. Includes a couple members of Arcade Fire, which automatically draws it some bonus attention. Time will tell if it’s deserved.

Balmorhea is some decent folksy instrumental stuff. I was supposed to review it but I forgot. Oopsieeee.

CHRIS CORNELL! YEAH!

lets look back to the movie Pump Up The Volume. Pirate radio as one of the original bloggers. and he played 80’s Soundgarden like Chris Cornell was king.

now, if Christian Slater were real, he’d skip movies and grab Winona’s character from Heathers and have her shoot Chris Cornell in the face.

and that’s coming from a guy who loves him some Chris Cornell.
